Question on this move (From a YT video)
I don't see a bishop on f1 in their visual. Pretty sure it's just black's move to take on g2 being the question. Am I missing something here?

Thats what i get for doing this from memory. Forget about he f1 bishop, though it doesnt matter in regards to what the OP is asking. And unless im completely brain deading this. The OP said its white ot move after black played ...Qd5
I'm watching a beginner video and he's discussing how the queen can attack the pawn at G2 leaving her to be able to attack the rook or the knight. However, isn't that a bad move for black because white can move the queen out to F3 which attacks the black queen at G2? The queen on F3 is protected by the knight right?
There are two flaws with your theory. The first is that you overrate a protected queen. Black has already captured a free pawn, taking a queen as well still leaves them a point ahead and they are comfortably in the lead.

I see a red highlight on the d5 square the queen is on, but no mention that was the last move. The highlight looks to be some kind of marker, probably from the video, rather than a last move notice. I just went with them saying black queen takes on g2, met by white queen to f3, guarded by the knight on g5.
