Yes, your ratings are surprisingly low, except for 5 minute puzzle rush. Do you know why?

Because I try experimental openings, blunder lots and don’t really bother to rectify this.

deeper, what you mean... you're "trash'?

If you really have 1550 FIDE rating - you can't be a 'trash' anyway. ))

Hmm... I see.

But why do you blunder so much with 1550 rating in FIDE !? ))

When you play in FIDE tournaments, do you stop blundering at once ?

This is a kind of miracle.

Blunders will happen at all levels. Because blunders are often the result of a difficult, tense position combined with time pressure.

Hmm... Maybe... they, FIDE players, do long games as a rule... And they play Blytz games seldom.

I... for  example... even can not play one hour games. I haven't enough patience for that. )

I mainly play fide classical. Here I mainly play blitz. I find it’s harder to focus online as well. Online chess just isn’t really my thing.

But explain me, please.

How and when have you got the such high FIDE rating ?

Do you visit some official Chess club in your city ?

There's a comparison table here:

https://chessgoals.com/rating-comparison/

chess.com rapid and FIDE are about the same at 1800.  Much below that, the chess.com rating tends to be higher by about 100 points.  Above that, the FIDE rating tends to be higher by up to a hundred points up to about 2500, where they come into rough balance again.

I would guess the main reason for the disparity is because new people come onto chess.com with an initial rating of 1500 or 2000, and this tends to drag ratings toward that range, dragging lower ratings up and higher ratings down.  There's less drag on the highest rating because those people are farther away from the new user range.  One might expect less of a differential at very low ratings, too, except FIDE doesn't have very low ratings as mentioned above.

Psychohist, thank you.

Very useful information.

Novices over here are very good players then.  They know the basic of Chess.

It gives me a little hope. I lose very often to the people you mention.

I play for my local club.

korotky_trinity

In fact I know only one opening for White. King's Gambit.

I try to manage London System also. But up to now I do it without success.

korotky_trinity

For Black... I know already Sicilian defence, Baltic defence, Scandinavian defence of the modern variation... And now I want to study French defence - it looks for me very perspective too.

So now I win more often with Black pieces than when I play with White ones.

When pandemia  be over, I'll try to find the real Chess club off-line too.

I really can't understand why people put up tournament's that encourage cheating. A decent game does not have to be days to make a move. Please please I played one player fast as black, the player had a just over 60% accuracy. He came back slow, with 97% accuracy.

st33brown

Not really fast, over 20 odd minuets.

As much as I would like to disagree with you, please don’t derail this thread.
