rating doesn't matter!
sorry, i wasn't kind, but it was relevant
True, I'm afraid. The board is also the wrong way around.
However, the gist of the post is correct; that it doesn't matter how much material advantage you have if you are mated next move.

Seems like that the three Black pawns are about to promote....
There is no mate in 1, since it is White to move (White is in check).
At the lower levels, ratings do not matter much. But at the higher levels, your rating will usually match you with players around your rating. And for top GMs, they usually don't play with players with a rating much lower than theirs.
Ratings matter... a lot. I'm just a low level player with a rating on chess.com that floats around 1400 plus or minus 25. I will rarely win against players rated 1600 and rarely lose against players rated 1200. Sure, if someone totally blunders away a game, anyone can lose or if you catch a high rated player drunk at 3 am, but for the most part ratings tell the story.
