which is better rook or bishop and knight beginners found that this is an puzzle but professional player always chose bishop and knight .Why? it can be due to some reason .what are they?let's discuss.proffesional player chose knight and bishop because they are two whereas a rook is single ,the combination of bishop and knight is very powerful in this pair bishop controls the diagonals and sometimes it support some pieces also and if knight is in center then it is powerful it can jump to various squares and can give dangerous forks both bishop and knight can attack on one piece against a rook so naturally we can win that piece very easily .so we had to always chose bishop and knight .Rook is powerful piece it control a full line but it is not much powerful than bishop and knight points are also given for pieces Queen-9points Rook -5points pawn-1points Bishop -3points Knight-3points King-infinite points

There are no laws but general rules on the subject. What is measured, anyways, is not if 5 is higher than 3+3 or vice versa, but how active can the rook or the knight plus bishop be. And as the answer to that depends on the position and the skill to detect activity, it's usually better to accept that 3+3 is more than 5.
