Ooooh. I personally think the Grunfeld is way too complicated! I play the KID. Some of my best attacking games have come out of the kid lol
It’s not as complicated as it looks or sounds if you have a grasp for the Sicilian and Slav ideas as they overlap.
I like the imbalance and counter play plus, if black survives to the end game, he gets rewarded with a pawn promotion.
I’ve always thought that undermining a connect 3
is way too radical. I enjoy me my hypermodern openings (kid, alekhine) but wow. Hell if I understand how to undermine that.

It’s actually very straight forward and both sides know what they are playing for.
It reminds me of the Sicilian where you cannot sit back and get comfortable. Exerting pressure, tempo and creating the initiative are fun ideas.
I am also looking for a chess partner. I desperately need to improve my Blitz, and would like to improve my Bullet as well.
How is it that your bullet is so much stronger than your blitz and rapid rating at that level?
I think you may have to strip some bullet habits by seizing play and focus on rapid to relearn the thought process.
Thats what I had to do last summer from exclusively playing speed chess. Mind you I was a classical player first.

I play the Modern-Pterodactyl as a side line and that can transpose to the KID, Benoni but my preference is the Sicilian Dragon because I am a Sicilian player lol
