There are few things better in chess than successfully tricking your opponent when you're in a completely losing position. (I can't find the full game, so this will have to suffice.)

Do you ever have a checkmate where you just look at it afterwards and think 'ah, that's really satisfying'? For me my favourites are ones where there's a lot of pieces involved, and any of them not being there would have prevented mate. I also had a discovered checkmate once which was very satisfying to pull off.
Here's one for today which I like because I think that you could say 5 pieces (including pawns) are involved.
The knight gives check and prevents escape to h5, the h4 pawn is guarded by the g3 pawn, which also can't be captured as it's guarded by the king which also protects h3, and the rook takes care of the f file. A real team effort!
Actually, I guess you could also say the black bishop was involved too because if that was missing or placed anywhere else, that wouldn't have been checkmate either.
