Dear Chess Friends,

I played an OTB rapid game in which a really instructive, strategic position occurred on the board, so I made a video about it, starting with the critical position. Would you trade the queens or not? Think logically, make your decision and check my explanation in the video here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/should-we-trade-122252362?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=postshare_creator&utm_content=join_link

If you want to see my other private educational videos, too, you can subscribe to my Patreon channel. I upload 4-6 hours of videos / month and you can learn about openings, strategies, tactics and endgames, too. I also upload daily puzzles in 4 levels every day.

Don’t forget about my 50% VALENTINE’S DAY DISCOUNT which ends in a few hours!!!

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to write to me.

Kind regards,

Gabor

ah! I'll try to watch it when I get home today. I'm always interested in seeing who peoples opponents are as some are people I know or people I've heard of before

"Equal trades aren't always." -Me

I've had a couple of games where an "equal" trade of pieces in fact completely changed the course of the game. I think I had one where the evaluation went from +4 to -3 after the trade was done, but I wouldn't be able to find it to save my life.

That's right. Trading is a very important topic in chess and it's essential to understand if a trade is good or bad for us because it can completely change the course of the game, as you said. Actually, I'm talking about it a lot in my strategic and 'calculation practice' videos on my Patreon channel. I demonstrate the trading principles through a lot of examples.
