what do I do?

Do you learn tactics to gain material? Do you know the scholars mate and such? I would start at that if I were you. Also I advice the Magnus training app, it has helped me a lot too
There is no need to waste time with Scholar's mate. A simple check to avoid hanging material refutes it. It is a terrible attack.

Hi! My name is Lauren Goodkind and I'm a chess coach based in California. I have some tips for you:
1) I recommend playing with a slow time control (at least 20 minutes or more) so you can have time to think before each move. Ask questions before each move, such as, "If I move here, is it safe?", and "Can I safely capture a piece?" to avoid making silly mistakes. Overall, consider all checks and captures.
2) Get familiar with basic tactics, such as the fork, skewer, pin, and more. You need to practice thinking several moves ahead. I offer puzzles on my website to help: https://www.chessbylauren.com/two-choice-puzzles.php
I hope that my advice helps!

I want to be rich. Buy chess.com. Kick out all stupid posts. Forever.
But I don’t even have a donkey named Dapple. But if I did, the conversations we’d have would no doubt be superior to some of these.

The video cuts out before we hear her reply... 'Bruh'.
