What happens with the 1100 -1200 range? They´re too strong

I often go to the 1300 level in blitz. But since I play a bad sequence and drop to the 1200 level I struggle to stay and I even go down tp the 1100 level again.

To go back to the 1300 is MUCH harder than stay in the 1300.

On the game analysis most of them doesn´t make a single blunder and mistakes goes as low as 1 per game.

Maybe the level is higher but there are many in this range that will go higher soon?

Its really wierd, but it happend me aswell. My strength in Blitz is 1900, but in 3 minute chess, there were lots of guys rated 1500 which are as strong as me.

800s are actually the strongest. If you fall into 800 ELO you'll never get out

"Why am I stuck in elo hell, I am a good player" -every League of Legends player. I am afraid chess players aren't so different

Maybe chess makes faster progress than us

I checked your blitz games over the last year. Here are the results:

Your average performance is 1257 and you don't score noticeably better against lower or higher rated opponents.

In the last 2 months your score against 1300-1399 is 3% higher than the 1 year percent listed above.

Also looking at your rating graph it's been pretty stable over the last year.

In other words the 1 year window provides a good estimate with a lot of games played so I'd say pretty reliable results.

Even a player under 1000 can score over 90 on that analysis thing when their opponent doesn't put them under any pressure.

In fact that's probably a much better interpretation of the analysis score... i.e. how much pressure your opponent was under.

I looked at the games. I think you're underestimating your opponent and so you're not trying very hard. In one game you blundered a pawn very early and didn't manage to make any threats all game long.

In the 2nd game you traded queens early and started moving pawns and leaving your king in the center instead of developing.

Instead of expecting them to lose during the first 10 moves, and then being shocked, try playing against 1100 players as if they were 1300 or 1400... at least for the first 10 or 15 moves. That means double check for mistakes (don't lose any material), and develop quickly.

Welcome to the world of cheaters.  I agree there is a problem at the 1000 - 1200 levels.

Once i made a draw against an IM player. After it i blundered to a ~1000 rated player grin.png If you have a good day, you can win, but if you are tired or you became uppish, the defeats will show up.

How did you do this? Do you have an excel template that arranges this stuff? I'd like to do this kind of analysis myself.
