I don’t see why anyone should be obligated to resign. Even if they have only the king left, they can still try for a stalemate. If you can’t win the game properly, then you need to improve your endgame anyway.

This is an example of why not to resign u1200. He was down a rook but I blundered my queen.

I wasn't making anyone feel bad. And there was no reason for you to bring it up when the other guy had responded politely and things were calm.
