Why a Chess Coach Makes All the Difference for Beginners
Many beginners start with enthusiasm, watching YouTube videos, solving a few puzzles, and playing countless online games. But after a few months, most hit a wall — improvement slows down, and frustration kicks in.
That’s usually because there’s no structure or feedback. You might be practising hard, but not necessarily practising the right things. And that’s exactly where a coach can completely change your chess journey.
A good coach doesn’t just show openings — he gives you a clear plan, corrects your mistakes, and keeps you motivated when it matters most.
My Training System – The 20/40/40 Method
In my chess school, I use a method built around balance and long-term improvement:
20% Openings – I’ll create for you a simple, principled repertoire. You won’t need to memorize theory; instead, you’ll learn why each move makes sense.
40% Middlegame – This is where most games are won or lost. We work on tactics, planning, and understanding piece activity and pawn structures.
40% Endgame – The endgame teaches precision and patience. You’ll learn how to convert small advantages and defend difficult positions.
This 20/40/40 balance ensures your improvement is steady and complete — not one-dimensional.
Daily Work and Communication
All my students receive daily tactical and endgame tasks, sent personally. We communicate through Slack, where you can share games, ask questions, and get quick feedback between lessons. It’s not just “one lesson per week” — it’s a constant learning process with daily progress.
I track your activity and results to make sure you’re always improving.
Real Results
One of my students from the USA, Imran, made amazing progress — gaining 455 rating points on Chess.com in just 90 days. He trained one hour per day, followed the daily tasks, and kept in touch through Slack. His growth shows what happens when structure and consistency come together.
Final Thoughts
If you’re serious about improving and want a personal, focused plan that fits your time and level, I’d be glad to help. My program builds real chess strength — step by step, without drowning you in theory.
