Why Do I Suck Still?

"maybe I'm playing too fast."
Yes.

Your opponent plays 7. Nxe4, and instead of taking back, you make a random move. Without thinking.
Your opponent plays 13. Qe6+, hanging the queen... and instead of taking it, or rather instead of thinking about the best move, you immediately move away with your king. You made the move in 5 seconds. In a rapid game where you have a ton of time.
Logan, to learn and improve the brain needs output as well as input. You need to practice what you learn. Is 10 minutes really giving you enough time to recall something you read about or watched, when the situation appears on the board, probably not. Are you reacting quickly, following old habits, probably yes. Give yourself more time to play the game properly. Learning chess is about dropping old habits and building new ones and you wont manage it if every moves is a rushed job. Every time your opponent moves, if you dont have enough time to itemise every check, capture and threat for both sides, you are playing too quickly.

I suck. And even though I analyze my games to see where I've made a mistake or blunder and what they better move is, and even though I do the lessons on here, I am not getting better. I feel like I'm getting worse lol, but that could just be a dramatization. But in all reality, maybe I'm playing too fast. I get myself into spots where I have no plays and am constantly defending, constantly running away, and can't get into spots where I am pressuring my opponent. HELP.
something I tend to ask my new pupils is: do you know how to mate with the pieces? Which sort of tactics are you aware of?
First you need to build the foundation, later on you can do the game analysis yourself.
Have you considered the possibility that chess just isn't for you? Chess is a very hard game, and some people just simply aren't smart enough to keep track of everything going on. Self awareness is very important, and if someone with your IQ can realize they weren't born with the same level of intelligence as the rest of us, that could go a long way. I am going to provide a link below for a game that may be a little more your speed.
A friend of mine said the better you get at chess, the more you realize you aren't very good at chess. Your mistakes are becoming more and more obvious to you, and that's the first and most important step towards eliminating those mistakes.

You joined a week ago. If you just started with chess this is normal...
We all thought we were smart and could beat the others quite easily. Reality is that it's not. It has nothing to do with your intelligence.
The game just seems a little more complicated than we all expected
Maybe learn some theory and practice a lot. Enjoy the game.

I've really found YouTube chess videos helpful to hear how expert players think about the game. Check out Gotham Chess. He's also sponsored by Chess.com.

Chess is a struggle: it should never be played mechanically and the whole reason B Fischer invented chess 960 is because the people with the best memories win, mostly...
My friend taught me to play "interesting chess"... Then it got fun!!
Ishouldntbevenplayin is right: it should be fun- don't worry about being a champion cos nobody cares anyway... you'll never beat the older guys at the club because they draw to Grandmasters and they're in D division... When Grandmasters do simultaneous exhibitions and they're a bit drunk they don't even play some of the old guys at the local club because everyone knows it's going to be an 80 move draw!
