if you resign you lose the ga if you offered a draw the can accept it
Why Do I Suck Still?
I suck. And even though I analyze my games to see where I've made a mistake or blunder and what they better move is, and even though I do the lessons on here, I am not getting better. I feel like I'm getting worse lol, but that could just be a dramatization. But in all reality, maybe I'm playing too fast. I get myself into spots where I have no plays and am constantly defending, constantly running away, and can't get into spots where I am pressuring my opponent. HELP.
ooff yeah look at your blitz rating (ya kinda suck) If thats what ya wanted to hear.
I lose almost every game!
Have you considered the possibility that chess just isn't for you? Chess is a very hard game, and some people just simply aren't smart enough to keep track of everything going on. Self awareness is very important, and if someone with your IQ can realize they weren't born with the same level of intelligence as the rest of us, that could go a long way. I am going to provide a link below for a game that may be a little more your speed.
The OP just started playing and has the courage to ask for help. Then you insult him by questioning his intelligence and referring him to checkers. You’re not being helpful, even if you meant to be cloaked in poor humor. You came across as mean spirited.

The top comment was actually funny, I think your humor has problems...

No it wasn't 'funny' at all

Yes, you are playing ay too fast. You should not be finishing games within a few minutes. Slow down. If you don't know what to look for try finding every single check and capture on the board and not making your next move until you have found them all. If you get short on time doing that then play an even slower time control. If you don't think you are making good moves then you should spend more than a few seconds on making them.
It’s sad that pathetic individuals rated 4, 5, and 6 times higher than the OP feel that trolling the Beginners site and bullying them feeds their egos. More experienced players should provide helpful advice to those of us who ask for it, or simply “pick on someone their own size.”
I am reposting my comment from another post.
There are some basic things you can do such as:
1) Go through all of this slowly and try to understand how it all works (if you already know how a rook moves, of course skip it, but tactics are crucial to learn) - https://lichess.org/learn#/
2) Take your time and be very careful when playing (will the piece be hanging/unprotected if you move it there, does the opponent has some threats (mates or one move tactics), do you have some threats etc.)
3) You can go through the beginner level here https://www.chess.com/article/view/study-plan-directory and if you take your time and properly digest all of the basic principles (attacking the center, good squares for the pieces etc.) you should improve.
4) This also is a great and free resource - https://lichess.org/practice
I've been playing for a year, and lately some things that really have helped me are:
1) Doing tactics and puzzles regularly
2) Really taking my time and thinking stuff through, having a few alternative (candidate) moves and then deciding which is the best in the long run
3) Understanding that each position is unique, as is each move, therefore each position requires a fresh look. Not always falling in love with the initial idea is great, because your opponent might make a mistake and you could make an even better move (i've had a situation where I have a mate in one, but I decide to capture a hanging rook).
4) Playing long games (rapid 30 mins), where I have time to slowly go through all of the possibilities for each move (just as it would be irl)
OP, don't get frustrated. Chess is a difficult game, a very difficult game.
I've looked at your most recent game (against bankfamily) and, well, it's not good. Some of the moves played had me laughing out loud. That may sound harsh, but it's not meant like that. I don't think you're not smart enough to play, I think you are skipping the thinking part of the game too often. You mentioned you are playing too fast. Yes, you do. In part because you haven't developed a framework yet to base your decision on. Something like systematically looking for checks first, then check for captures and then for attacks (look up Gotham Chess).
My suggestion would be to play less games, but to think about every move. Ask yourself before you play two things:
- Have I considered all available moves?
- If I play this move, can I provide arguments to support this decision?
I'll provide one example of a move that I can't understand. I don't know how to post multiple moves in an image yet so I'll just show the position. You play Rbc6. It might be a mouse slip, but if not, can you answers both questions with a 'yes'?
Keep it up, start developing basic positional understanding and you'll get better.
here is something closer to your level https://www.kidchess.com/
but in all seriousness i think you just need to slow down and work to develop pieces
I suck too. I make...horrible errors. I'm impatient I hate endgames....I lose interest and just want it to be done partly because I suck at end games. can't bring myself to study it. mating with lesser pieces.....is tedius....takes practice but the people of similar level I play as suck too....so there's that.
