Some exaggeration but I hope this delivers my point.
If I make all correct moves (and they all must be correct moves), +5 +5 +8 +9 +11.
But... if I make one single incorrect move (especially on the first move), -11 -12 -9 -15 -15.
Even if I spend on average an equivalent amount of time thinking the Puzzle over, incorrect moves result in what seems to be a much harsher rating penalty. Why not separate rating increments and decrements into a per move basis? Why not make it so that if I make a move incorrect, and it is out of several, penalize my score by a fraction of the total rating that would have been given? This is one of the few aspects of chess.com that I consider seriously unfair.
