I agree with you. Trying to be a great player can lead to disappointment. Greatness comes after traveling the long road of study and play. You have to build up your skills the old fashion way: through hard work. Strive to get good at the game and enjoy it. Greatness will come only after hard work and dedication to the game.

Don't try to be a great player..sounds strange..just try to be a good player and keep playing with full passion and love.. Thats the secret of GREAT players..
