Chess Tournament "Lunk Alarm" Triggers
Using words made up by a fitness center.
Lunk is short for "Lunkhead". A long-standing common usage for "dummy" or "jerk". Not recently made up: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/lunkhead
Also, fresh-water fishermen often call an old, massive fish a "Lunker", but I doubt that's where this comes from.

Words have a lifespan. They don't start in the dictionary, but they are a word before that. Including abbreviations, like "Lunk".

Not the word "lunk," but the specific phrase "lunk alarm" is taken from a fitness center (Planet Fitness).

He also acted like a jerk vs Anand in their World CH match when Anand had problems making it to game one on time, due to some lunk volcano in Iceland stopping all flights at the time Anand needed one to make it to the match on time. I'll let you and/or others look this sordid incident up.
BUT, he's #4 on the list of GMs who have been rated #1 in the world (ie duration of #1 status).
Ohh, I thought you were just saying people with goatee's are lunks.

BUT, "He has been ranked number one a total of 27 months in his career, fourth all-time since the inception of the FIDE ranking lists in 1971 behind only Garry Kasparov, Anatoly Karpov, and Bobby Fischer.
@deadastronauts: Why would I say that anyone with a goatee or any type of beard is a lunk?
I don't know why. But I agree, people with goatees are lunks. Goatees make people's faces look like shurberies. Real chess players have full bushy beards, or immaculately groomed mustaches. Your very own avatar supports my theories.

You know how Planet Fitness has their patented "Lunk Alarm"? They use it whenever somebody's acting like a jerk at their gym. What would happen if chess tournaments had a "Lunk Alarm"? What would trigger it? I can think of a few things:
1) Laughing at your opponent if s/he makes a blunder.
2) Blundering, walking away from the board, and then not returning so you can lose due to time rather than resign.
3) Texting while waiting for your opponent to move.
4) Writing down the wrong result for the game you lost.
5) Not shaking your opponent's hand before AND after the game. Especially if you lost.
What would be some other "Chess Lunk Alarm" triggers?
