Giri pawn: A pawn but when it is captured, the game is a draw.
CREATE THE BEST/WORST CHESS PIECES

Normal pawn: moves 2 squares on first move, 1 square after that, diagonal captures en passant
Crazyhouse Style pawn, Whichever side captures it, is forced to place a pawn on, for white 2nd rank, for black 7th rank. If this pawn is captured and there are no squares on the rank available, the side which captured the pawn loses automatically.
Inverted Pawn: Captures 1 square upward (2 if it's the first move of this pawn) and it moves diagonally, but can move diagonally two squares on move 1.
That's all the ideas I have.

night knight. Whenever a fork is possible when ur losing it appears to fork the best fork possible (With a knight) . It is automatic.

Gunner. it moves like a bishop but if it s aiming at a piece of your opponents , u can gun it down. also meaning taking the piece without the gunner moving.

JESTER: There are two for each side. if it is took, its color wins. it spawns randomly. Pawns cant touch jedtersnif it is going foreard. Your opponents jester is invisible but u can see yours.

bomb. if it is taken it explodes in a 4x4 square. spawns randomly. pieces that go on the exploded or fire squares they die. Even the king. but... if one exploes another one is put.... Put on ur coats!

well...
'The wolf in sheeps clothing'. Each player gets to nominate one of their pieces secretly as the wolf. When the wolf gets taken it manifests in to the attacking piece and the opponent loses that piece. So if someone takes my pawn (wolf) with a queen it becomes a queen and they lose their queen. Obviously it can only be performed once. If the king takes it it becomes another king and they lose.

Ohhh this sounds fun!!
How about a piece that can only move 1 space per turn, but it can move in any direction! OH and to make it really bad, if the other player captures this piece, you lose the game! But I guess to make it fair to each other, there should also be a rule where you have to let the other player know you are about to take that piece. I think that will help new players. Maybe say a code word like..."Duck!" or something cooler than that.
Each player only gets one of these pieces, and pawns cannot become this piece.
I haven't thought of a name yet, but I was thinking something slow, big, but precious beyond belief that your whole army would want to guard it...maybe like "Fat Unicorn" or something...

Zombie: a piece that looks like a normal pawn but if you capture it the one that captures the zombie is yours now. It turns into ur color. Zombies can't be taken off the board but can't promote

Stone , blocks attack. If something captures it, it is infected and will roam around the board also as a stone. It doesn't take sides. It is controlled by a AI. Your stone will stay there. Moves like a knight but can't check. But it can help a piece checkmate

the imposter: you can send this piece to the opponent's territory and it can sabotage the plans from there and can kill off enemy pieces. The way it is captured is the opponent has to figure out what piece is the imposter and vote the piece out to capture the imposter.

toxic bomb: you can only use this piece once. it self destructs and explodes and then it will create toxic gas in a radius of 3 squares. making what ever pieces there will be destroyed. cannot be captured and only leaves when it self destructs
I'm in this picture and I don't like it.
