The rock it cannot move for 23 moves and when it can it only moves 1 square forward
CREATE THE BEST/WORST CHESS PIECES
Football . This can move in any direction 3 squares. And once like knight that is curved kick .it can give a tackle and remove a peice from the for nxt 10 moves
the caterpillar: works like a king as in it can move one space in any direction. every time you take a piece, on your next time the caterpillar moves the pieces "length" advances one piece. for example, if caterpillar is on c3, it takes pawn on d4.
on its next turn, as it moves from d4 to e4, a second piece is left still on d4. so now there are 'two' pieces.
move the first one from e4 to f4, the second one follows from d4 to e4.
first one from f4 to f5, second one from e4 to f4.
first one takes another on f6. 1f6, 2f5.
then moves 1f7, 2f6
now since the end of the tail is passing f6 (captured piece) we add another piece so
1e8, 2f7, 3f6.
then
1d8 , 2e8 , 3f7
and so forth
postscript: that was really confusing but i hope y'all understand...

i kinda understood, it spawns another part of it that follows it after taking a piece and moving off its square, but how do you capture it, and can pieces move over it?
you capture it by capturing either the end or the front of the caterpillar, then by working your way to the the front-back or back-front you can capture all the spawning pieces.
not sure what you mean by pieces moving over it.
all the parts of its 'body' act like normal pieces excepting the fact that they spawn and follow each other. as such, only knights and knight-cousins can jump over this piece.
does this help?
thought of a easier explanation: its kinda like that snake game: as you 'eat' more pieces, you get larger....

Mercenary: A pawn that moves like the king, though will move differently than you want it to if it can escape or earn points.

Mushroom: 1 by 1 piece that can take pieces x squares away, regardless of enemies in the way. This is the biggest thing though- when it takes a piece, it puts a friendly mushroom in their square. Variable x is a list that increases by 1 per capture. Is unable to move

Bomb: 1 by 1 immobile piece, and when taken kills everything in a 3 square radius. You can also cause it to explode as a move.

Mystery Box: Every turn, moveset is set to be a random piece's moveset. Gives a random # of points if captured.

Ninja: Moves like a general, creates fog in squares 10 random squares on the board after moving, can jump, and is invisible to the opponent.

The wild Fire replaces the rook moves 1 square any direction can capture anything even you're own pieces leaves a trail of fire where ever it moves pieces can move through it but not on to it.
In other words absolutely useless.

best chess piece everywhere omnipeice can destroy the omniverse except your king any move it likes is immortal and gives infinite moves is overpowered bassicklly so you instantly win every game
