As for my (non-stupid) piece recommendation, a Passant (Named after the Pawn rule "en Passant") moves and takes like a pawn, but it can also move towards its home rank. Promotion group is Standard (QBRN) but it can also sit around on the promotion rank without promotion happening (player chooses if to promote). The Variant rules "Sideways" and "Torpedo" may also apply, player chooses if to turn them on. Said rules otherwise remain unchanged.
