A million. That’s a thousand thousands. That’s a lot. But, have you ever made that many moves?
If the average chess game lasts around 40 moves (I assume that’s correct), then you’d need to play around 25,000 games of chess. Some people have done that. But how many moves have they played?
So, if you had to guess, have YOU played one million moves?

Comfortably. I've played about 26k recorded online games, as well as a bunch of unrecorded ones and OTB. Probably took 10 years from first creating an online account to my millionth move, and I'll need at least 20 more before I play my millionth good move

Surely not. If I count all games from all accounts on platforms it will be something around 15000 games I believe
