In this thread, do a move for white (if it's white's turn) or black (if it's black's turn).  I wish to create a game in tis thread. Please play your best! There are certain rules, though:

  1. You must include a digram of the postion.
  2. You can only do one move per post.
  3. You can only post once per page.
  4. You can't offer a draw; you can only force one.
  5. Only force a draw when the color you are playing a move for is losing.
  6. You can't resign.

I'll start off:  1.e4

Ah man, I didn't notice the rules. And there I was, thinking I was soooo clever.

How are you going to do ...Kf8?  Capture your own rook?

Pat_Zerr

You wouldn't just take the queen after it was handed to you on a silver platter?  That's a move I'd have a hard time turning down, especially when there's nothing to be lost from it.

Pat_Zerr

Figured that.  Why don't they just ignore it?

7... Kxe1# 0-1 Game ended.

JollyPlayer

Well, the rules about a diagram and others have been ignored.  No chance of what might be an interesting game happening.

Not to mention, playing bad chess because they want the thread to end. No one is forcing you to play, but there are always brains who screw it up simply because they can.

Pat_Zerr

Perhaps it would be interesting to do this in real life.  Have a few chess players gather around a chess board and each one takes a turn making a move.  Perhaps have them circle the board, first playing white and then waiting their turn to play black.  Would love to see the flow of the game that way.  The players would be playing a different position each time rather than playing from the standpoint of a game in sequential moves.

I knew ... that while I took some vacation time away from chess.com, it would somehow be a better place when I returned.
