probably can play at least a dozen GMs in a 100 min. session in the 1 minute pool on the ICC on a good hour, which is not something i have done often bc i like having a non chess life too.  let me choose from GMs i have played

1. kamsky 2. yudasin 3. svidler 4. grischuk 5. atalik 6. onischuk 7. smith 8. troff 9. naroditsky 10. christiansen 11. stripunsky 12. magesh 13. zapata 14.vovk 15. rohdestein 16. pap 17. gustafsson 18. kudrin 19. lenderman 20. fressinet 21. k. lie 22. demchenko 23. georg h (ARM) 24. kogan!? (ISR) 25. elshan 26. hungaski  27. azmaiparishvili 28. giorgi m. 29.dlugy 30.bachmann 31. grachev 32. e. hansen 33. d. petrosyan?! 34. a sumets!? (might be kumets) 35. stojanovic 36. raicevic 37. melik 38. a. saric  39. paragua 40. davorin kulja whatever (wait maybe he is IM) 41. miljkovic 42. paunovic!? or was it arnaudov?! whatever some bulgarian dudes 43. bojkov  44. holt 45. shankland 46. lobron OK I AT LEAST MADE IT TO 40 WOO-HOO.

and a bunch of -ovs and -ics and -kos i don't quite remember which ones i've played.  and some asian dudes too but i always forget them as some have similar names and i get confused.

ugh, seems like such a short list. especially since i have only beaten 7 of them to my knowledge that i can think of off the top of my head.  sad.  need to rectify this.  but wow, i guess i have played some good players, a lot of the above i have played fairly recently.  and i have played quite a few wgms too, i used to play one in chess960 a lot.

and i can think of many others by handle but not by name and i know i have played many others and a lot of anonymous gms and ones with eastern european names that i don't quite remember which ones i played and which ones i haven't played.  and i forget if some of the players i have played are IMs or GMs so i haven't included those.  and i have somehow missed out on playing some elite players though i have played some of the russians xD.  but yeah it's pretty cool to play in the open section and the super strong dudes online sometimes.  but it's always my bad games that get published which is slightly unfair.  Innocent

I tried pretty hard to recall as many as I could off the top of my head. I'm not 100% sure all of these are GMs (maybe like 95% sure) and I'm sure there are tons of spelling mistakes. Here is the list of 69 Gms I came up with :

Ivanchuk Carlsen Kasparov Short Karpov Kramnik Akobian Shankland Akopian Rapport Liem So Nakamura Giri Caruana Karjakin Svidler Gustafson Topalov Anand Aronian Finegold Gesper Mossevian Kamsky Polgar Yifan Andrekin Bacrot Fressinet Hammer Polugalevsky Tomashevsky Wotajchek Grishuk Ashley Van Kampen Hansen Seirawan Huschenbeth King Yi Yi Ivanov Naiditsch Nunn Lenderman Shirov Jobava Fischer Spassky Jokavenko Tal Botvinnik Smyslov Gelfand Cuenca Yermolinsky Nielson Pelletier Kazimdzanov Bruzon Ramirez Mamedov Mamedyarov Leko Harikrishna Krush Vachier-lagrave

And here are a few that I am thinking about but cannot remember the name.

- Norway gm (old) (2600+ elo likely) (played in a supertournament last year I think)

- Good Spanish gm (highest rating in spain) (2700+ elo likely)

- Good Cuban gm (2700+ elo likely)

- German gm (2600+ elo likely) plays a lot on the internet, curly short blondish hair

- Highest rated uk player (2700+ elo likely)

- Fischer opponent he won his best game against (queen sac)

The Norwegian is probably Simen Agdestein, Carlsen's mentor.

The Spaniard is Francisco Vallejo Pons (or Alexei Shirov?).

The Cuban is Leinier Dominguez Perez.

The Briton is probably Michael Adams or Nigel Short.

I was actually thinking about Georg Meier. I got confused with the hair cause Georg Meier doesn't have curly blondish hair lol. You were also right about Simen Agdestein, Francisco Vallejo Pons, Leinier Dominguez Perez and Michael Adams. I was also confused about the last guy I couldn't remember, because the opponent Fischer won his best game against was Donald Byrne who is not a grandmaster even if he was one of the strongest American chess players during the 1950s and 1960s. His older brother, Robert Byrne, was a grandmaster though.

Fischer did sac a little material in one of his games with Robert:

FIDE started awarding the title of International Grandmaster in 1950.  Henry Bird, Richard Reti, Karel Traxler, Emanuel Lasker and Capablanca had all passed away by 1942.

The first FIDE-certified Grandmasters would be people like Mikhail Botvinnik, Vasily Smyslov, Reuben Fine, Samuel Reshevsky, David Bronstein, Paul Keres and Max Euwe.
