My Chess Games at www.chess.com:

Tartakover was been at ZOO, and he gave the name 'Orangutan'!..
Gavrila Sokolsky was been good Belorussian Chess Master, who developed main principal lines here, and it is a different than the Polish line, even that the Poland close to Belarus...

Yes, it is not on front Fashion Row at Chess world!
But I got so much fun games here, by winning a stupid Rook at 'h8'!
You will not believe, that it takes just a half dozen moves in dozen games at our forest, at www.chess.com!

The Main Difference between a Polish and Sokolsky, that in Polish white protected a b4 Pawn by move a3.
In Sokolsky, white play b5! And make a Post here, as long as it take!
The black Knight on b8 hate that Pawn doorpost, because it is no easy way to go on lovely place on c6 on just one move!
Sometimes, it never happen on Sokolsky, at all! At least at my games...

the best treads at chess.com are the ones started by AWARSCHESS and then only posted in by AWARDCHESS.

Cool! Awardchess - could you give us some tips on using the b4 opening? or maybe post one or two of your most instructional games using this system?
The statistics seem to indicate that it can be effective, but b4 feel ready to use it, I'd like to see some of the key ideas - feel like sharing?

1. Do not play a3 to protect Pawn b4!
Instead, change it for Pawn e5, if the Black prefer to play ...1...e5 2.Bb2 B:b4
3.B:e5...
2. If Black protected own Pawn on e5 by move f7-f6, or moved 2...Nf6, start climbing and making a Post at 3. b5!
After that black will try to change it by moves a6 or c6, Do not take it easy!
Calculate, and in most cases, still protect you Post on b5 by a4, e3, c4, Nc3...
3. Let black make change here! It is not easy, and it for white favor to change a Rooks on a1, at most cases...
