LOTR characters - Chess players

Today, ChessTV chat figured out which LOTR character was which chess GM.  Here are the results

Karjakin-Sam (tenacious in the face of Sauron)
Levon - Aragorn (tough challenger to Sauron)
Chucky-Radagast (old amusing wizard)
Vishy - Gandalf (enough said)
Frodo - Fabi (just look at the pictures.  Also can be painful to Sauron)
Botez-Arwen (who else?)
Magnus - Sauron (all credit to @Hikaru)
Polgar - Galadriel 
Hikaru - Thorin (based on personality; also both trying to be king unsuccessfully)
Kasparov - Isildur (historical King)
Giri - Legolas (not optimal, but who else?)
Aman - Fili (young dwarf, though the lack of the beard is problematic)
Nigel Short - Bilbo 
Gollum - Karpov (strangler)
So - Boromir (can't stand up to MagnuSauron)
Mamedyarov - Beorn 

Robin van Kampen - Merry

Eric Hansen - Pippin (friends)

Morgoth - Mikhail Tal (smoke-clouded terror, could also be the Balrog)

Gil-Galad - Fischer (ancient hero)

Elrond - Yasser Seirewan (wise old character)

Saruman - MVL (his Uruk-hai pawns cause trouble for MagnuSauron, see 2017 Sinquefield Cup)

i don't think carlesen should be sauron and anand- gandalf. sauron should be stockfish (or alphazero) who wants to solve chess, magnus-frodo, and gandalf-kasparov maybe. anand should be bilbo (before frodo)

Nah.  MagnuSauron is a well-established fact in the chess world (see Hikaru's tweet on the subject some time ago).  And Bilbo was never a dominant/ruling character, whereas Gandalf sort of was.  And Frodo was never the master of Middle Earth as Magnus is the Master of Chess.

stockfish is master of chess

Actually, AlphaZero is.  But they don't count.  They aren't characters.  A0 can be Arda, and SF can be Middle Earth.

alphazero played against stockfish in an unfair match (it was not only run on super computers, but stockfish was also only version 6), so we don't know yet and should count stockfish as the champion
