I was hoping you would play dxc3. I find f7 is a very weak square in the scotch. Anyway, I play 6.cxd4 to regain the pawn while getting good center control.

hm it seems you're right. I have always avoided this line but 8.Bxb4 Nxb4 9.Bxf7+ Kxf7 10.Qb3+ Kf8 11.Qxb4+ Qe7= according to a database
Nxd5 only move
Again 8...d5 was not forced. 8...Nxe4!? is an interesting option, and leads to a more or less equal middlegame.

I didn't think Nxe4 is bad for black, the king is slightly open, but black has good play. Very inbalanced

And I reply Qa4+. I'm pretty sure we are almost put of opening theory, so Kibitzers! Show us your moves!
Nc6 seems pretty forced.
It's easier if you post a diagram with each move.
After a getting out my trusty tournament chess set and having a long think, I have decided against Ng5 with a f7 hunt and will play c3 instead.
