first one is silly: just mate in 3 moves is enough :

1 b8=Q, Ka5

2 Kc4,  a6 or Ka4 meet 3 Qb4#, or Ka6 meets 3 Qb5#

unless the initial position of your bishop is wrong, maybe it should be in c3 and not d4 !?
