What do you do while you play chess?

i read mails, txting friends, eating,music,surfing,watching dvd's,everything while in waiting....
listen to music, sometimes, like now, really loud!! Coheed and Cambria at the moment, The Cat Empire earlier, later ..... who knows, but I think whatever it is, it's going to have to stay at this volume. Can you guys hear it?
For me the question should be: "What SHOULD YOU BE DOING when you're playing chess". Especially with online chess, I'm always playing when I should be doing something else. And during the games, I do often allow all kinds of things to distract me...maybe I should meditate or something.
"Work" is what I'm supposedly doing during the day, but I'm a teacher, I mean, when I'm not in the classroom, what else am I supposed to do. Also, watch movies, etc.
