Who says many cooks can't make a good soup ?   Many cultures put in their ingredients and created a wonderful game that we know to be called chess...

But many cooks can't make a good soup.  Many can, but countless others can't.

It is exactly things like this that cause me to believe more and more in divine intervention and the desire of our creator to bestow his blessings upon us...we could still be playing dodgerock like they did in Scotland for so long...

What on earth are you talking about?

Apparently you've never lived where rocks were pretty much all that you had...trust me, you don't want the pleasure of playing dodgerock...I have to be in the mood to even appreciate dodgeball....

ps...don't mind me, I just say what ever comes to mind...it is up to you to associate it the conversation and see the relevance I see...

...do you need a Nemo thoughts engine to do an indepth analysis so that you can understand why I chose that line ? lol lol lol

The Spanish spread a lot of things around that time.

I assumed he was referring to Ruy Lopez de Segura.

TheGrobe

Yeah, I was basing it on what I was pretty sure he meant, not getting hung up on semantic inaccuracies.

Sanskrit was a game before it was a language?

TheGrobe

It's kind of like dodge-rock, but you throw sand in each others' eyes instead.

Seems like a religious nut would believe that the middle east was a veritable paradise back in the day.

Food was so plentiful, they played dodge-date.

Something tells me that many here would, and probably do, excel at this.

Not at all, but a language from wence the game chaturanga was developed in....

TheGrobe

From wence?  Was developed in?  I'm not normally one to pick on grammar, but you're making it hard to turn a blind eye man.

As a historian from the time period, I am proud to report that dodge date never caught on because, the fat kids always ate them and then they have to go back for more ammo, which became taxing...
