Some work all day, struggle, fight, grab, shout, yell,
or wait for the school bell,
And while that all may be for the best,
I just play chess.
Lawn needs mowing, rent's due, car died, the bank came to repossess,
I just play chess.
The bridge I live under gets noisy around noon, but no regets
I just play chess.
My shopping cart got stolen by another bum, but I confess
