A Pair of 2 Min. Smothered Mates

This is rather strange.  I seldom play 2/0 games, but sometimes you take what's available.  In the last few days, I played five 2 minute games and won all five. That too is very strange.  But stanger yet are the two I played yesterday... I won both with a smothered mate, something I love but seldom encounter in my usual 5/0 games.  Anyway, being 2/0 games, they aren't exactly stellar in quality, but here's yesterday's pair that ended with decisive knight moves:

Both very nice, but the first game was not a smothered mate.

hmm...  maybe not a pure smothered mate, but it looks smothered nonetheless.

knights are beasts under time pressure, they munch away time making you calculate all their moves

Well, it's a double-edged sword.  The time it takes to calculate your opponent's Knight moves have already been compensated or more by your opponent who had to make the same calculations plus what it took to apply  the touch of creativity necessary to start the process.

Okay, so maybe it's a choked mate.
