A Quiet Game that Ended Loud!

I've working on improving tactics and trying to not play "Hope Chess" where I see a good combination and hope my opponent doesn't have something better!  To minimize such blunders, I've been leaning on Nimzowitsches Principle of Overprotection and using openings like the Italian Game (aka "Giuoco Piano" or "Quiet Game") and c3 (Alapin) Sicilian as White and the Caro-Kann and Slav as Black.  Those openings allow development -especially of bad bishops- and coordination of pieces that's about right for my current skill level.

Here's a Giuoco Piano I won here at Chess.com today where I didn't intend the Fried Liver Attack but my opponent played the Anti-Fried Liver Defense - just to make sure! I played from Baltimore, Maryland against an opponent located in Cairo, Egypt - a city I toured in 1999!   There are some pretty moves, especially beginning with move 24.
