Bashing the Caro-Kann... A Blackmar-Diemer Miniature.

When your opponent neglects his development and leaves his King in the center, it's time to break out the Morphy-style attack... and you certainly rose to the occasion here.
Two little comments:
Am I missing something, or did you: 12.Qxh4 and his Queen is trapped and lost, yes?
I love 18.Bg5+ but the annotation is inaccurate. After Nf6, or Qxg5, you respond Qe6#, not Re1+.

Thanks for the comments, I was beginning to wonder if I had wasted my time posting what I consider to be my best game here, so far.
To address your points:
1. "Am I missing something, or did you: 12.Qxh4 and his Queen is trapped and lost, yes?"
I'm not sure what you mean, no piece ever went to h4, perhaps you could elaborate?
2. "I love 18.Bg5+ but the annotation is inaccurate. After Nf6, or Qxg5, you respond Qe6#, not Re1+."
Yes, Qe6# is quicker, something I had overlooked when I planned the finish starting with Rxf5+, however the annotations were not meant to be overly analytical... more a record of my (faltering it would seem) thought processes.

Qxh4 is just me botching the notation... should be 12.Qh4
Ahh, but to answer my own question: yes I am missing something... I now see he does have defensive resources... I think your original move is better than my 12.Qh4 "improvement"

I did consider various ploys to trap his Queen but preferred my moves (and still do) .... 12 Qh4 f5 now what? his Queen is not trapped and my Queen will also lose time on this square to a later Be7. With my Queen going via e5 to c7 I had his King in trouble on both sides. I must mention that trapping his Queen was fairly low on my list, I thought the position strong enough that a nice flashy finish was a probability I could not ignore. It's what we all play for, isn't it?
