checkmate, checkmate, check - mate! ...and one more checkmate

These are my latest "correspondence" chess wins that ended with a checkmate. The shortest is in 18 moves.

I hope you enjoy them!

Maybe I will add some comments later, add your comments if you like Smile

glad you enjoyed them Smile

yes i played many nice moves, but the games are full of mistakes, i don't post them as examples of good play (though there might be some of it here and there), but rather as examples of intense and flashy battle, and could also be educational for some

and i'm just glad i had a streak of wins, includingcheckmates and sacrifices...

Cool

Eseles

this is a different checkmate that could be played at game no.3, but i found out about it after the game ended

perhaps it's more beautiful

(it would be mate in 25 again, there's a mistake in the diagram)

Hahaha Thank you, that was delightful. I'll try make use of some of those moves but I think it's not easy to pull of against strong opponents

Eseles

in this game i was checkmated in only 16 moves! Frown i didn't see it coming! Embarassed

There was a checkmate on the US chess championship yesterday, the women's section, and the commentators upon seeing the final position thought it was a Queen sac at first... they just didn't expect to see an actual checkmate :D When the winner was asked later, she said it was years since the last real checkmate she had delivered OTB.

ranftjym

Hahaha I admire your passion. I wish everyone looked for checkmates with as much enthusiasm. I usually play all my games with a draw in mind waiting for a mistake to change that outcome... Maybe that can change now Cool

Eseles

here i gave checkmate in 14 moves

Eseles

here i was checkmated on move 22, i could have resigned but i just felt like playing to the end, i wanted my opponent to enjoy a checkmate :)

Eseles

i won this game by resignation, but the checkmate was unavoidable

my last move wasn't the only way to win, can you find the other ways to checkmate?

i think i can call this win a swindle Smile http://www.chess.com/echess/game?id=108331654

Eseles

Another game "I managed" to swindle... I was ready to resign some moves back, being a piece down, but I thought "Oh well, I might still be able to win, let's try a little more, maybe I can deliver a checkmate if my opponent isn't careful enough"...
