I am 1700+ in long games but only 1400+ (Peak 1650) in blitz. This is the first time i defeated a 2000+ in a blitz game.
And I was BLACK.
I played French defence. Frechie is arguably the best defense against stronger players, because it gives white a false sense of advantage (centralized pawns) but black has many sneaky counter attackes.
