1.f4 might be drawn with perfect way but even things like leela and alpha zero weren't able to prove that white is fine yet,  and at a human level it's even more damned

At human level it's even more OK

From the perspective of actually trying to win the game as seriously as possible,  it's a mistake for making black's life easier and dominant.  technical draw or not,  that's not what you choose,  as an athlete!

Then the Dutch sucks from your view? Because having a tempo up is almost always good.

I don't care about what stockfish thinks,  it's more than -0.2.   Black gets better squares for all of his pieces,  an edge of time and doesn't have to compromise or make concessions to develop.  F4,  in conjunction with other moves that make it useful,  either to attack or as a space gain ,  corners white into slower plans.   Black just plays D5,  g6,  Bg7 and gets a great game with a long term,  nagging edge that in practice and in theory,  grows and compounds into something that will probably be decisive with optimal play and is definitely HUGE in practice.   White shouldn't choose an opening from which only black can try to win.  It's a serious mistake.

f4 can sometimes transpose into a faster King's Indian Attack. Also, again the Dutch is solid, but if white "plays d4, g3, Bg2" he will have a "lasting edge" in theory...

this is my most recent game against the dutch,  annotations , move by move, all typed while I was playing can be found here  https://www.chess.com/clubs/forum/view/thethirdmouse-vs-jkgege-game-1

Staunton Gambit is very strong against the Dutch, but its counterpart, From's Gambit, is not. If black doesn't go around trying to "refute" the bird's on move 5, then it will be an equal game. But equal game does not mean equal chances.

No it’s not

1. f4 is for the bird's. It's not played at high levels for good reason.

GMs play it

GMs also miss mate in 1.

That is called an "exception"

I do not advocate the from's gambit

so... It leads to an even game. Case closed, 1.f4 is OK.

Did this turn into a bird’s opening debate?

yes, but we resolved it... I think? In a different forum.

Wow 100% well done haven't achieved that yet myself. The Bird is not really my opening even though Henry Bird was from the same city as me. I think he was a clergyman?

100% accuracy is not impossible. I got it in a 7 move game. You need to make sure everything is book I think.

Morphys Revenge, Yes.1.f4 is the bird opening, named after Henry Bird. It is not a bad starting move though. It is rarely played at higher levels.

100% is impossible, ive run some of the games from the alpha zero-stockfish match. not close.

In this game I didn't make any mistakes partially because the game ended very soon. I'm not sure why but when I analyze it, it says that you only got 97.8

I just played a game with 100% accuracy too! Was I cheating?

Which players in the 1800 rating range make moves like the Black player did? Either he was drunk or let his kid play for him?
