So I just played this game, myself being rated 1050 and my opponent being rated 1455

I thought I played a very good game and though I did lose I felt that the game was winnable for me, so if anyone better than me would like to point out any tactical or strategical mistakes I made (I know...I gave him the knight for free at the end) I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

I noted alot of mistakes for the 1455 guy.. Extending a game longer than necessary. As well as losing a rook for no reason. I think your opponent took you too ligthly and should learn to respect all players regardless of rating. Or i could be wrong and he just thought those were good moves.

26 ... Qh6+ forced mate next move.

31 Ne3 was better; though Black maintained some initiative.

Keep playing like you do. You jumped into a tactical quagmire which will only improve your game.

I don't understand why Black played   26...Nxd2!

Why not 26...Qh4 mate?
