maybe playing bots can improve your playing because if you make a mistake just take it back and try to find a better move.

But don’t forget to play live games it can push your rating

Usually it does not. The bots make inexplicable blunders up until the 1500-rated ones. They do not play like humans at all. I suppose the closest approximation would be someone who knows their endgames and defends perfectly but is susceptible to rushing.

Of course. You can play with a bot 500 elo above you or more. Take back your move, learn where were your mistake and so on. It's only work if you spend the time necessary on evaluation, self reflection ect.

When playing against a human, you will be mostly against people in your range, too much elo difference and a human will just win and go play somebody else. Playing your level is nice but if you want to progress that's not very effective.

Yesterday I pre moved a check mate, which only work because my opponent was as bad as I am, felt good but I learned nothing and could play 1000 games like this and learn close to nothing. But it is fun and that's what I am looking for when playing here.

The minimum level of Stockfish is around 1350 elo, anything under this is done by limiting the engine or actively injecting error. That's why bot at 500, 700, 1000 feel off. It is very hard to limit the strength of an engine without making absurd moves.
