Luckily for me, he blundered straight out of the opening where he made a catalan-style pawn sacrifice, and I managed to claim a "scalp" I guess!

You neglected to mention that you were rated 128 points higher than your opponent.

My guess is that CM Kenny504 is CM Kendrick Knowles of the Bahamas, who has a FIDE rating of 1814. He earned his CM for a 50% score in the 2014 Tromso Olympiad, winning four and losing four.

Yeah, I was aware that IU was higher rated...but for an average club plyer like myself, beating a player who has competed internationally and has a title is definitely a milestone.
