So, I was watching a YouTube video about a chess movie, when an annotation popped up challenging the viewer to a game of chess on chess.com.  So I paused the video, offered a challenge, and then finished watching the video.

It turned out that this player was rated over 500 points above me, so I decided to let the game be Unrated.  Little did I know I would win the game!

Here's the game: (Sorry it's a puzzle. I had to re-type the whole thing, only to find out I posted it as a puzzle. Just click the solution button.)

Tell me what you think!

It was correspondence "online" chess. You didn't mention that.

The next time somebody 500 points above you challenges you to a game, you should let it be rated. You aren't risking anything. You probably wouldn't lose more than 1 rating point with a loss.

//What I want to know is the name of the movie. Maybe it had a 500 point impact on you.

No chess engines, just my brain. And yes, I forgot to mention that it was Online Chess with 3 days per move (although I do usually make my moves pretty quickly, like within 2-5 minutes of actual thinking time.)

The name of the movie was "Searching for Bobby Fischer". Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybrY9JWVBv4

I liked it so much that I went ahead and ordered the DVD. I'm looking forward to watching it!

If you aren't going to talk about the game, waste your time somewhere else.

Relax I am not judging you at all man, you do what you have to do. It just seemed a bit (stock)fishy to me.
