nice game, black messed up at move 59... Bf4

I messed up on move 18. I don't know why I didn't go for the very strong g4 to open the g file.

I feel it's actually hard to consider g4 (but engine'ly' it's top move). At the first glance, it's really powerful, but I feel like Bxc3 is really annoying to deal with. I would've probably done the same as you, play Ne2 and after Bg7, instead of Ng3, go for g4. The problem is that while it's still annoying for black, it isn't really as powerful since they have a good resource which is the move Qf6! threatening the b2 pawn, and after something like c3, black can play Qh6+ and offer a queen trade ruining and take the vital piece for the attack.
