I got a draw against the Ludwig bot, but this is so confusing.

If you look closely, it says "Draw by checkmate" which shouldn't be possible. Anyone have an explanation?

Either the website's having another bug or someone changed it with Inspect Element.

I'm on a school computer and can't Inspect Element because American schools are paranoid, so it may very well be a bug.

Also his king is on C6 so it's a legitimate checkmate, but everything says 1/2-1/2.

"Draw by checkmate" sounds like reasoning a newbie player would use to say the game is a draw because the game ended before the king is captured.

But that may be talking about draw by repetition (sometimes vs insufficient material)
