Knight on the 6th

This knight gives you some advantage (he can't play the rook on the c and e file, he can't move the bishop imidiatly to b7 etc), but I don't think he has to resign because of this knight !

Well it was certainly a bit premature to resign. You are correct though in that a knight on the 6th rank can be very powerful, specially in situations where it can't be traded off.

I know, its just amusing how prominent a knight can be in the minds of people.

What after Ne8 at the final position ?? Of course after black exchanges the knight white will have a pawn on d6, but it is better than the knight, isn't it ?

however after Re1, then e5 or something like that, white has a massive advanage in space, but yes, better than the knight.
