Legal Mate Miniature!

I feel like I won the lottery. This mate is rare. It's not the exact two knight and bishop mate, but almost. It's from the same trap in the Philidor Defense, where White tricks Black into capturing the queen, spelling disaster for Black.

Here's another miniature from last night. I was on a roll. Black tries the Damiano Defence, allowing me to enjoy a king hunt.

Still from last night! Black makes a common mistake in the Italian, and then lucky for me, makes it worse by missing a mate in one. I'm sure chess coaches have shared games similar to these three games of mine to teach their students. This will likely go down as my favorite miniature this summer. I've posted it once before. A fun example of an attacking game in the King's Gambit.
