Here's a game I just played on LiveChess. I notice a nice sacrifice forcing mate if he takes the bait...

He went on to beat me (rather soundly) the next two games.

5 ...Qe7

6. N anywhere, Qe4+

or at least that's the typical trap, followed by a rampaging queen and a scrambling king.

The usual followup is 5...Qd4 6. Nf3 Qxe4+ Qe2 7. Qxe2+ Kxe2, where black is at least even if not better.

I wonder if 17. Bxa2+ was legit Nice spot on the mate =)

Thanks mikex.

I think 17. Bxa7 falls to 17...Kxa7 18. Qa4 Kb8 19. Nb5 Bc5 and White's attack is stopped.

After 5.Nxe5? Qd4 6.Nf3 Qxe4+ 7.Qe2 Qxe2+ 8.Kxe2 and Black is up a pawn. White also has no compensation for the loss of the two Bishops.

Just wanted to clarify that point.
