My best Stonewall game so far

Hi all

I've been using the Stonewall system against 1.d4 for a few months now, with generally good results, but up until now I've been struggling to effectively execute the standard kingside attack. I've also been in a major slump for the last couple of weeks, which made the following game especially satisfying!

The Stonewall's just a fairly solid system, with good possibilities for aggressive kingside attacks or positional play; I tried it out after seeing Magnus win twice with it. It's great at my level because very few opponents play the most problematic responses (hyperaggressive f3 advance, or the fianchetto set-up).

To be honest many of your annotations to my opponents moves are either unfair (hindsight is 20/20 after all) or just wrong.

Yes, but the opponent's pieces are similarly cramped...

Stonewall is not good against 1. Nf3 2. c4, however, if your opponent plays d4 anytime, it suddenly turns good afterall.

Antonio, cxd5 exd5 is generally good for black, primarily because it improves the light squared bishop. White can subsequently put a knight on e5, creating a passed pawn if it is taken, but there's always sufficient counterplay here and it isn't a very testing line for the Stonewall.

lol dude I would ask you to justify that but you're obviously either insane or just baiting
