My Simul Game vs IM Dmitry Zilberstein (Played at School)

This is a simul game I played against chessmaster Dmitry Zilberstein at my high school. Dmitry played 24 simul games and destroyed everyone excluding me though.=) I enjoy this game because I believe I defend well with led him to accept my draw offer. (This game ended in a draw.) As a result, I got a prize of pizza, and a trophy. Of course I want to beat him, which would result in getting huge sum of money. Any feedback on the game is welcome. I was wondering if the position is a draw or not though Zilberstein accepted my draw offer.

I mean, no doubt, that's cool...but what an uneventful game.

i just played a simul game against a IM. I was winning with a piece up(Amazingly). I made a horrible blunder in one fell swoop and lost:( but i played very well and he told me i did very good so i was happy.

Oh thanks to everyone for the congrats. And yeah I was playing defensive the whole way. I just wanted a draw lol=)

Anyone else has comment on this game, by the way I am trying to get IM Dmitry Zilberstein to play here on chess.com

You should be glad that the draw was accepted.  You've got a good game here, but the endgame edge has to be given to the IM.  Good game though and you should be pleased.

Here is the link to the slideshow of the simul that me and the whole chess club played against Dmitry Zilberstein. I am the one with green shirt and black glasses.

Lowell Chess Club coach and faculty sponsor Patrick Fahey saying thanks to Chess.com on behalf of all our student chess players.  Kudos to Lowell Senior Anthony Li for his draw vs IM Dmitry Zilberstein during a simul last December 18, 2008 in 33 moves.  Dmitry won the other 25 games.  Anthony, the first Lowell student in history to record a non-loss against an IM or GM at a Lowell simul, recorded his game on Chess.com.  Thanks also goes to John Donaldson at The Mechanics Institute for donating 9 chess sets to Lowell Chess Club for Dmitry's simul.  Thanks, of course, to Dmitry himself for coming and giving the students a good "massaging".

8.Bxf6 was probably first played by Christiakov-Estrin, Moscow 1955.  It looks like 9.Qb3 is a new move.  Christiakov tried 9.Bd3.   Now perhaps instead of 9...Bxc3+ Black could try 9...Qe7 then 10...Nd7.  After 10.bxc3, Black can simply play 10...O-O.  After 11.c4, interesting is 11...Nc5 since 12.dxc5 loses a rook to 12...Qxa1.

Instead of 19...Rac8, perhaps 19...Qa3, threatening 20...Qxa2.

Instead of 30...Bd5, best may be 30...Qg4, threatening 31...Rxd4.  If 30...Qg4 31.e6, then 31...Re7.
