There is no opening book and Leela chose very powerful theory moves.

Top engines dont need opening book anymore and top engines even choose the better lines of opening book.(theory).

P.S In other games ,Leela also invent many Novelties. (N!!) grin.png

(35. Bxe5 dxe5 36. Bf3) (36. ... Rxb2+ 37. Kxb2 Qb6+ 38. Ka1 Rb8)
What is this line then.

36......Rxb2 was Mate in 6 and Leela can kill faster. (It was the line I checked why Shredder avoided that line).

#5, should your note read 35. Bxe5 dxe5 36. Bf3 looks good but 36. ... Rxb2+ 37. Kxb2 Qb6+ 38. Ka1 Rb8

25. ... Qc7 looks wrong to me but I don't have the will to check ... Qb4

Haha, I play Caro-K, cos there are not much variations to analyse and easy to equalize ( I play QID against d4 cos it is easy to equalize from black) . Sicilian is more worthy to try as it has more risks to both sides.  However, everyone play Sicilian and you need extreme precision and deep analysis to play against strong players. sad.png. I played a lot of Sicilian before. (I rarely play e4,e5)

Shouldn't it be Najdorf who is proud, not Kasparov?
