lordcashflow,

No pins are necessary in your game. Simply 9.Qxa8 wins for White. If 9...bxc4? then 10.Qxb8 again wins for White.

I would be in tears if my best miniature looked like either of those games.

This was the biggest game I've ever played!!

I'm not that good but here is a game I played with the classical bishop sacrifice

Here is my first horrible attempt at the Greek Gift

Horrible indeed, your gift should not have worked with a queen and bishop batterie on d8 e7. I don't get your "he would have lost anyway" after 16...Kg7??, it is indeed a huge blunder, but black wins easily with 16...Qxg5 instead.

sorry my bad. Like I said before this is my first attempt and I am a horrible player. I am so sorry for this inaccuracy in my commenting

Badmarc4

it's allright mate, at least you can admit. rather than be like the 400 who thinks that horrific game was worth didly squat.

I actually enjoy and play myself hope chess, not always intentionally. Here it worked perfectly, your opponent got scared, blundered and lost.

The point of my comment was not to diminish you, but to give you this advice for your next gift : if the g5 square is somehow covered, eg. by a queen or a DSBishop, the Gift has good chances to fail, and thus benefits from accurate calculation.

(In Blitz in such positions I generally delay castling. I play h4, and then if the opponent castles the gift works because you can recapture with the h-pawn and the rook comes into the game. This is a kind of hope chess though that's well suited for blitz. If the opponent doesn't castle I can find myself without a plan if I play like this. The h-pawn push is not always a good move if the opponent doesn't fall for the trick. I just wanted to put that out there as we're discussing Greek Gift and coverage of the g5 square.)

(I'm not sure my trick even works in your game because the opponent's knight can go to f6 in your game even if you had played h4 instead of castling, but say you had not castled, had played h4 *and* had kicked the Knight with e5 and your opponent played as they did. (this is getting very hypothetical. Here is my line:

Doesn't need annotating.

I played this gem at midnight last night when I could barely see the computer screen.

Thank you guys so much for helping me to improve thanks for the advice. Hopefully my next attempt will be better.

Here is a different one. Not greek gift. I sort of already won when he lost his queen. There are probably many blunders as I am a bad player.
