Long time not playing the semislav, got a nice position out of it
Post your best miniatures here
Had to post this one. Apparently the opening was very theoretical (so much for my thinking "this looks like an interesting novelty") but it's the end that it's here for. ![]()

I like the Modern but you are right, it is very complex. Few people really appreciate how much grabbing a pawn safely makes a huge difference in these games. Nice conversion.
Hey anyone wanna join my club tornament?, its against this other club that has over 500+. And i might be slightly broke in number of players.
Idk how it works, but all ik is that it is a daily chess match. It called -.Chess club.-
i have seen people posting these miniatures before but i dont know how to do it can you tell me
Copy the pgn file from the app you're using (chess.com, lichess or whatever) and here in the chat there's a tiny diagram, click on it and paste the pgn text. Easy
Its crazy how starting from the 10th move, the engine thinks Black is just fine, I would be on the brink of resigning in that awful looking position, with the big pawn chain deep in my camp.

I still remember when the Anti-Moscow lines with h6-g5-b5 were all the rage at the top level back in the 2000s- early 2010s. Some fantastic games by Topalov, Grischuk, Mamedjarov, Aronian, etc

That's the thing with these QP openings, especially the ones in the Colle/Zuckertort vein or even Benko positions, the engine can see like 1-3 solid moves but it also analyzes it to like GM strength play. The thing is, many players aren't going to play that good and usually, I'm playing for positions that leave Black looking at natural looking moves that can go sideways fast. I think it's the same way Carlsen approaches his play as well.
I'm watching a lot more of GM Smirnov's Remote Chess Academy and trying to assimilate the ideas into my games, and it seems to be working more often than not.

Those games and some Anti-Meran Semi-Slav matches are some great games to learn position over tactics and allow for some really nice attacks. I figure if guys like Nepo and even Ivanchuk will play them, they must be decent.
are the reviews as acurate as they are on chess.com or are they more acurate?
it's different, you almost certainly won't like them as much if you're used to here.
