Not at all complex but I still gave up the queen for mate

You blundered your Knight, yet, your opponent did not capture it!

When?

On move 5. You played Ng4. The reason that this is a blunder is White can simply take your knight. With the bishop. You can't capture back, because of White's queen. Your opponent failed to find this tactic! I'm just a bit surprised as this is a 1400s match.

All Downvoted - Black played correctly.

The Knight move looks like an error, but it actually isn’t an error.

Its a Book Move.

@Post #8

Upvoted - You are correct.

Qh4 is the key intermezzo move to ensure Black doesn’t lose a piece.
